The Juggling Experience

I use music as background to the instructions and I use my computer to store and play the music, so an input is necessary for the public address system. Because I move around, a remote wireless microphone is best, although if it is not available, a lapel mike with cord is second best. I have my own collar mike and can bring it with me as a back-up. If there is room lighting that can be increased, we do need to make the entire room as bright as possible during instruction. The stage area where I make my presentation needs to be elevated and well lighted with an open area at least ten feet wide and six feet deep. Ceiling height is not a factor for me or for the participants. Room temperature can be set about five or six degrees lower than normal since participants will be exercising vigorously. If the presentation follows a meal, the main course and dessert should be completed and coffee should be well under way or even finished, but the tables need not yet be completely cleared. I do need to have everyone present in the room when the program starts, and they should plan to stay for the full presentation. The program can last up to 60 minutes. It can be shortened to no less than 45 minutes if absolutely unavoidable, but longer is better.

Achieve a Balanced Life

This session works best if the participants are seated theater style, with wide aisles and plenty of "mill around" room surrounding the chairs. I need a good sound system to play my music from my computer. A microphone that plays over the music is essential, so we need two inputs to the mixer or amplifier that do not cancel each other out. The mike may be either wireless or hard-wired. Even a podium mike works. Everyone must be in the room at the start of the program. Room temperature should be set three or four degrees lower than usual. This program averages 75 minutes, but can be stretched to 90 minutes. It can be shortened to 60 minutes if absolutely unavoidable.

Run Away and Join Your Own Circus

For this session I'll need the same room set-up as the previous program, or participants can be in bleachers or at desks. Please provide a blackboard or a white board, an easel with a big pad of paper, or the equivalent. A raised platform or a stage with strong lighting will create a more dramatic effect and help keep attention focused. The time needed is 50 to 60 minutes for the introductory session and the entire program can last up to a half day.

Circus Skills Playshop

Any well-lighted open space will do, indoors or outside. A microphone and a way to play music through the PA system are necessary. Time required is 90 minutes. A $500 additional fee required because of all the auxiliary equipment used in this session.
