Methodology
This is an interactive energizer, which follows The Juggling
Experience.
Everyone goes through the steps to learn to juggle with three
bounceless balls.
We step into the shoes of kinesthetic, spatial, musical and interpersonal
learners.
We help one another to work on our individual skills as mentors
and coaches.
At every step we forgive ourselves for imperfection and celebrate
the learning process.
We learn to recognize and respect our own accomplishment and
the achievement of others.
Teaching tips help us be able to transfer these exciting skills
to others when we get home.
We end this session with a spectacular performance by members
of the group!
Why it Works
We work with multiple intelligence theories that help break
down barriers to learning.
We use music as a method for learning the steps in the process
and for inculcating a beat.
We experience how slow-motion juggling with scarves helps us
learn with fast-moving balls.
Everyone struggles, but since we are struggling together everyone
gains patience and skill.
By recapturing the "present moment" of children, participants
rediscover their love of play.
Although immediate success is not guaranteed, with practice success
will be seen as inevitable.
Take Home Value
Learn to notice and celebrate learning style differences in colleagues,
relatives and yourself.
